A: No, the Gen 3 does NOT pair with the Gen 2. Gen 3 features Party Mode, which allows users to pair an infinite number of Gen 3’s, Rangers, & Grandes together for an unbeatable surround sound experience (Party mode does NOT work with the Gen 2’s).

Q: Can I connect multiple Original Gen 3 speakers?

A: Yes, with Party Mode you can pair an infinite number of Original Gen 3s for an unbeatable surround sound experience. Or, with TWS (true wireless stereo), you can pair two Gen 3’s in classic Left/Right Stereo Mode.

Q: Does the Original Gen 3 float?

A: Yes, it floats!

Q: Is the Original Gen 3 waterproof?

A: Yes, the Original Gen 3 has an IP-67 Water Ingress Protection Rating meaning it's completely waterproof (fresh & saltwater) and submersible up to the 3 feet for 30 minutes.

Always keep the port cover closed around water.
Do NOT allow your speaker to be exposed to any water or moisture while it is being charged or while it is plugged into a power outlet. Doing so can raise the risk of electric shock and also cause damage to your speaker.
If the speaker is exposed to saltwater, wash it off with fresh water after use.

Q: Can I charge my device through the Original?

A: Yes! In order to charge your device using your Turtlebox you'll need to have a USB-C compatible charger. Plug the USB-C into the out charging port and connect it to your device.

I wasn’t going to jump on the Turtlebox bandwagon!! I’m sure glad I did. It sounds great, and when we go camping, or just to friends houses, we can all connect our boxes. I just ordered the ranger, will get another original gen 3, and the grande.

Hello!
My family and I are loving the new Gen 3 Turtlebox! Beautiful sound and love the battery life! Winter is almost over and can’t wait to take my Turtlebox on fishing trips, camping, family backyard BBQ’s! I’m hoping once one of my family or friends hear how beautiful this speaker sounds that they will buy one. then we can sync the two of them up. I can only imagine and then I will be able to experience both speakers playing! If I get impatient then I just may have to buy another one for my wife!
