JOB | Accounting Manager

Position Overview

Turtlebox Audio is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Your expertise in financial analysis and reporting will contribute to the overall financial success of our company. Responsibilities

1. Financial Record Keeping and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and expense reports.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Monitor and analyze financial transactions, identifying discrepancies or irregularities.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets.
- Collaborate with department heads to gather information for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for budget adjustments and cost-saving opportunities.
- Track budget performance and prepare variance analysis reports.

3. Financial Analysis and Decision Support:

- Conduct financial analysis to assess the financial health and performance of the company.
- Provide support in evaluating investment opportunities, pricing decisions, and cost management strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial impacts of business initiatives and projects.
- Assist in financial modeling and scenario analysis for strategic planning.

4. Compliance and Audit:

- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during annual audits.
- Identify areas for improvement in internal controls and implement effective processes.

5. Payroll and Taxation:

- Prepare and process payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Calculate and submit tax payments, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax.
- Stay updated on tax regulations and assist in tax planning and reporting.

6. Financial Systems and Tools:

- Utilize accounting software and tools effectively to perform accounting tasks and generate reports.
- Recommend and implement improvements to financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Accountant.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.
• Working knowledge of inventory management systems and online sales software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
