The Founder's Advice to Graduates

Their collective life experience is earnest & eclectic and the "Live Free" motto we carry is derived from their choice to live life on their own terms and take a leap of faith. Hear the wisdom Jonathan, Will, Jeff & Reagan have to offer to all of the new graduates starting a new chapter...

Jeff

“Find out what comes easier to you than most other people and focus on that strength. And, go out and meet people, have fun!”

- Jeff

Will

“My advice would be to travel as much as you can, while you can & commit to being a lifelong learner.
There is no better teacher than travel. It offers perspective & wisdom,it broadens the lens at which you see life.
Turn off your GPS, buy an ATLAS (a map printed on pages of paper), point your truck in a direction and figure it out as you go.
Buy a one way plane ticket with no plans, jump on a train, a ferry, a bus, a subway.
Life only gets busier and your calendar only gets more complicated as you get older.“

- Will

Reagan

“The price of our vitality is the sum of all our fears” - David Whyte, via John Eldredge.
“Be diligent to observe fears creeping in and settling to change you over time and without you noticing.“

- Reagan

Jonathan

“I remember what it felt like when graduation was approaching. Finally! No more school, time to make money. Before I even had a job, I had put money in an healthy place in my heart. A few years into the corporate world, I discovered what a poor motivator money really is. I was making decisions around where or how I could make the most money and not around what I’m best at or enjoy the most. My advice is this: know who you are, know what you’re great at, get a job doing that thing, be the best at that thing, enjoy your work, enjoy your life, the money will come, don’t compare yourself to those around you, everyone has a different path.”
