Owen Gayler

Fly Fishing Guide

Intro

Meet Captain Owen Gayler! A native Texan with a passion for fly fishing, he’s the kind of guide who makes every day on the water one for the books. Raised in a family of ranchers, Owen grew up knowing the value of hard work, but also how to have a darn good time. His love for fly fishing runs deep, but what truly sets him apart is his ability to create unforgettable experiences for those on his skiff. Whether he’s poling the flats, swapping stories, or bumping tunes from his Turtlebox, he’s all about good vibes, big laughs, and even bigger catches. We’re stoked to have him on board. Welcome to the Turtlebox family, Owen!

Q&A

What is your profession? Did you always know this is what you would end up doing or was it something you “stumbled into”?
I'm a fly fishing guide. I wouldn’t say it was something I stumbled into, more like “floated” into. I had a truly intentional moment with God while fishing solo, not only searching for Redfish, but searching for answers. Without too much detail, He made it all clear on a simple day.
