Q&A

What is your profession? And did you always know this is what you would end up doing, or was it something you stumbled into?
I am a professional snowboarder, since I can remember this has always been a dream of mine to be able to travel the world snowboarding.

When you’re not doing your core pursuit, what else do you enjoy doing?
When I’m not snowboarding in the offseason, I love to surf. I also enjoy speed flying, rock climbing, and a bit of skydiving. All while hanging out with friends and family, spending quality time and eating good food.

How do you incorporate music into your life?
Music is such an important part of my everyday life. There’s not a day I go without it. Even as I write this, I’m listening to music. It’s the best way to focus on what you want or even take your mind off something.

What does “Live Free” mean to you?
To me, Live Free means doing what you love and continuing to do what truly makes you happy. We only get one life, so you might as well go for it and find what makes you smile. That's living free to me. Stress free.

What’s your hottest take or most controversial opinion?
That’s a tough one. I would say that my hot take is that reality tv is actually really fire and it might even be my guilty pleasure. It's just super entertaining.

What’s the craziest thing that’s happened to you in the wild/on tour?
The craziest thing that has happened to me in the wild is one time I was rock climbing with my older brother and a friend in Moab, Utah. We were on the second pitch of this five-pitch climb, a couple hundred feet off the ground, and we were tucked in between two rocks at the belay station when we heard the craziest rumbling sound. The walls were shaking, and we thought the tower was gonna collapse. Probably 15 seconds went by, and the rumbling stopped. We proceeded up to the top and saw some climbers up there who said there had been a huge rock avalanche on the wall right next to the one we were climbing, only 20 feet across, but the two towers are disconnected. It was a wild experience. We all looked at each other when it happened, thinking we were gonna get swiped from the tower.

Who is your favorite musical artist? Or what are you listening to right now?
My all time favorite feel good artist is Red Hot Chili Peppers, but right now I am listening to High and Dry by Radiohead.

Favorite Turtlebox speaker and why? How do you use it?
My favorite is the Turtlebox Ranger. It's the perfect speaker to bring everywhere and the magnets on it are killer. It’s hanging on my fridge right now. I bring it everywhere I go. I use it when I get ready to surf, when I am climbing, and when I'm hanging at home.
