Meet 24.7 Hunt. An outdoor collective built around a shared passion for hunting, community, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome in the outdoors. Founded by Ranar Moody, the crew brings their own urban influence and perspective to hunting culture while staying rooted in the traditions and camaraderie that brought them outside in the first place. Waterfowl hunting is at the heart of what they do, but their mission goes well beyond the blind. Through their content, events, and time in the field, they're introducing new outdoorsmen and women to hunting and proving that the outdoors is for everyone. They’re bringing new energy to the hunting world while working to preserve and pass down a love for the wild. We're proud to call this crew part of the Turtlebox family.

Q&A
What is your profession? And did you always know this is what you would end up doing, or was it something you stumbled into?
Ranar: Professional duck hunter. Yes, I knew I would find my way into this life full time. It was a dream of mine since I was a kid. I wanted to be able to hunt whenever I wanted to.
Ricky: Retired Army veteran and marketing specialist. I always enjoyed the work involved with each but never thought either would become my profession.
Darryl: My profession is hunting and fishing professionally while traveling the country, enjoying the outdoors, and meeting great people along the way. It honestly wasn't something I planned growing up. It's something I naturally fell into through my passion for the outdoors, and it's turned into a lifestyle I truly love.
Aubrey: Hunter. Honestly, I didn't think it would ever come true. It was always a dream growing up, and to actually be able to hunt for a living season after season. I wouldn't change it for the world.
When you’re not doing your core pursuit, what else do you enjoy doing?
Ranar: Spending time with my family or creating new things and chasing new ideas.
Ricky: Spending time with my sons in the outdoors and capturing memories.
Darryl: When I'm not hunting or fishing, I love spending time with my wife and kids, playing piano, going to church, and playing basketball whenever I get the chance.
Aubrey: When I'm not on the road or getting ready for hunting season, I enjoy spending time around the farm, riding Can-Ams, hanging out with friends, and enjoying time at home. I also sneak in a well-needed beach trip once or twice a year.
How do you incorporate music into your life?
Ranar: Music is with me day in and day out. We also create music for the brand, and it's been a fun ride.
Ricky: I listen to music around the clock, from the time I wake up to the time I go to sleep, and sometimes while I sleep. Music adds energy to everything I do.
Darryl: Music is a huge part of my life. Whether I'm jamming out or listening to worship music to find peace and reset mentally, music always has a place in my day. To me, music is a universal language that connects with every emotion and every season of life.
Aubrey: Music keeps me motivated through the day. Without it the day feels longer. It always puts you in the right headspace to stay focused on what you're doing.
What does “Live Free” mean to you?
Ranar: It means doing what you want to do every day that you wake up. We only have one life to live. Gotta live it.
Ricky: For me, Live Free means "Think It, Do It." If I get an idea in my head about something cool, I'm doing it. Take that trip, buy that boat, celebrate life, and celebrate friendships.
Darryl: Live Free means not stressing over the small things and truly enjoying the life we've been given. No matter what punches life throws at us, we wake up, put a smile on our faces, and keep going, because there's always someone facing something tougher.
Aubrey: Live Free means living stress free. Don't worry about the little things. Life will always go on, and you're in control of making the best of it.
Any guilty pleasures?
Ranar: I like listening to Justin Bieber.
Ricky: Watching Bluey.
Darryl: I'll put syrup or honey on just about anything, and honestly, I'm not ashamed of it.
What’s your hottest take or most controversial opinion?
Ranar: Dogs do not belong on furniture.
Ricky: All duck hunters are mallard purists at heart.
Darryl: LeBron James is the GOAT: the greatest basketball player to ever walk the earth, and I'll die on that hill.
What’s the craziest thing that’s happened to you in the wild/on tour?
Ranar: We pulled up to a boat ramp getting ready for a hunt and someone already had our Duck Music playing.
Ricky: I had my boat drift away while throwing out decoys.
Darryl: One of the craziest parts about traveling and hunting across the country is how unpredictable nature can be. I've hunted through snowstorms, brutal winds, flooding rivers, and sketchy mountain terrain, all while still finding ways to get it done. The outdoors will humble you fast, and that's part of what makes it so addictive.
Aubrey: We've had some pretty crazy experiences, and we're blessed to do what we do. But the craziest thing I've seen is watching a river freeze while you're driving down it. Watching Mother Nature take its course right in front of you without even realizing it's happening.
Who is your favorite musical artist? Or what are you listening to right now?
Ranar: My all-time favorite would have to be David Ruffin.
Ricky: Morgan Wallen.
Darryl: I have three favorites in no particular order: Morgan Wallen, Bruno Mars, and Chandler Moore. About 88% of my playlist is probably those three. Their music always has meaning behind it and hits different depending on the moment.
Aubrey: I listen to pretty much all genres. It really depends on my mood. Right now I'm listening to "Nutshell" by Alice in Chains.
Favorite Turtlebox speaker and why? How do you use it?
Ranar: The Ranger, hands down. It's small, compact, easy to travel with, and very loud. The most convenient and durable speaker I've ever had.
Ricky: My favorite is the Grande. It's the loudest, has the deepest bass, and the longest lasting battery. I use it around the clock.
Darryl: My favorite is the Ranger. It's small, portable, and fits into just about any scenario: whether I'm golfing with it on the cart, out hunting with it attached to my pack, or at my kids' t-ball games playing music in the dugout. Portable, tough, easy to use, and an all-around must-have.
Aubrey: I'm torn between the Ranger and the Grande. I love loud music but I love the convenience of the Ranger. Both are amazing. I use the Ranger pretty much every day when I'm working outside, and the Grande at the office when we're pumping out merch orders to set the mood.
